'Breaking Boundaries: Art for Health in Sport and Beyond' is an auto-ethnographic project that explores my experiences with sports injuries and mental well-being.
This was a multi-media exhibition in the Atrium Gallery located in the John Lennon Building that includes: cyanotypes of injuries sustained during physical activity; paintings exploring injury and safety in sports activity; two sculptural pieces: one, a bioplastic femur, highlighting the increased risk of injury during menstruation with the femur chosen as blood cells are produced in the bone marrow, and a mixed fabric piece constructed from muscle tape collected during own injury recovery.
