This is Laura Wright, she's played lacrosse for many years. We have become very close teammates, and it all started when we were each other's designated buddy in America.

"Throughout my time playing lacrosse injuries have massively played on my mind. I have torn my meniscus, torn my ligaments, constantly had inflamed infrapatellar fat pad and torn my PCL. These pictures show my injuries, the swelling, the taping and the medicine that's got me through games, but also the friendships that have come from sport I've got me through. Mentally injuries can be extremely challenging, constantly doing rehab and seeing the physio, only go and re-injure myself and put myself back to the beginning of the process. Spending trainings daily with people, and having the support around me, make sport and lacrosse worth every injury."

Below are the cyanotypes I cretaed:

Laura's view "I think the images altogether in a collage like that just defines elite sport. There are always going to be highs and lows, from competing at the World Champs to injuries and not being able to play, it is all part of the journey that you take as an athlete. I think the images being in blue takes away some of the differences and merges them all into one. It is harder to notice the standout bad images from the positive images. When injured, your mind can really focus on the negatives and struggles to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but pot like that, it doesn't seem so bad. It is all just another experience and is part of the sport."
